Post Perpetual Revolution , 2013
Metal, Rubber, Motor, Boots, Motion Sensor
Post-Perpetual Revolution is a kinetic sculpture where an illusion of walking is created with the assistance of boots, motor and gears. All the parts of this machine come together to form a circular composition with repetitive motion. The kinetic element of this sculpture is activated by the viewer’s presence. The aged steel toe boots are a common accessory of the blue-collar worker. The circular path that the boots follow is metaphor of the work my heritage and others from the Pittsburgh area have performed. The importance of Blue-collar worker should always be appreciated by society and never forgotten.
